Have any Oppos done custom upholstery & interior stuff?

I feel like that headline was directed at me, and am considering doing some bright blue interior work on my MR2.
Anybody have experience with DIY interior upgrades?

All I know is the trash carpet that the previous owner put in my miata was not worth the effort. It's not bad enough that I want to remove it but it's not very nice either. I felt no shame in cutting it up to install the harness and roll bar.

lol I was playing around in Photoshop just a few hours ago.
Planning to redo some trim pieces and seats of my Volvo. Not a full
upholstering job but just covering it. The most important piece will be
the headliner, since it’s sagging...
I’m still shopping around town for the right fabric. Not sure what I want, I think I’ll know when I find it.

I bought a spare set of seats for the 128i with the intention of having them redone in e30 M3 cloth, like so:
Though I’ll probably go with black cloth on the bolsters instead of leather.
I’m tempted to learn-as-I-go DIY it but I don’t know yet. I’m gonna find a shop or 2 and see what it would cost me. If it’s $500 or less in labour I’ll probably let a pro do it.

My interior is the stock “nautical blue” but I’m thinking it needs to be closer to the exterior. Maybe some contrasting blue/black patterns for the seats & door cards.
